The Velvet Revolution, November 1987 27 years ago the entire Presidium of the Czechoslovak Communist Party resigned, the culmination of what became known as The Velvet Revolution. Pictures show scenes from the half a million demonstrators that gathered nightly in Wenceslas Square, the moment the Presidium resigned and Vaclav Havel and Alexander Dubcek embraced at hearing the news.
