Ethiopian Orthodox pilgrims at Lalibela, Ethiopia.As dawn breaks, nuns pray outside the tiny chapel of Bet danaghel which was constructed in honour of fifty Christian maiden nuns murdered in the fourth century by the Roman Julian Apostate. Lalibela in northern Ethiopia is famous for it's monolithic roack hewn churches and is one Ethiopia's holiest cities and a centre of pilgrimage for much of the country.
