Latha - "I come from a small village and was not well educated. At twenty I was married to a professional lorry driver. Within two months I was pregnant, but had a miscarriage. Three months after the marriage my husband was confined to bed and he was incontinent. My parents-in-law threw me out of the home and sent me back to my parents. My husband was infected seven years before we married, and my parents-in-law knew, but they still blamed me for infecting him. I have now known for one year that I have HIV, my in-laws have refused to give me any of my husband's property, but I have taken the challenge to live."
