Ethiopia - Lalibela - Celebration of Timkat - The Ethiopian Orthodox celebration of Epihany

Ethiopian Orthodox pilgrims at Lalibela, Ethiopia. Monks chant their prayers to the accompanied drumming and beating of their prayers sticks in a cave during the festival of Timkat (Epiphany). Lalibela in northern Ethiopia is famous for it's monolithic roack hewn churches and is one Ethiopia's holiest cities and a centre of pilgrimage for much of the country.
